The Bloody Dark Abyss

She fidgets in fear

Longing to be like them.

Fingernails constantly

On the cusp

Of flowing blood.

Tongue tainted with the

Taste of iron.

Blood fills her body

With throbbing pressure,

In search of perfect words to say.

She lowers her eyes

To stop the red

From flowing out her tear ducts.

She covers her ears,

But the blood pours through

The cracks of her fingers.

Dizziness darkens,

Her vision fades to black.

Before she can speak,

Her eyelids open

Only to find

She has been left alone

In the bloody dark abyss.
